Some Drawbacks with idStudio
- idStudio itself is ~100 GBytes
- Optional map asset packs are 10-20 GBytes
- You will need to login to your Bethesda account to access/publish mods
- You need a fairly powerful PC to run idStudio well (32 GBytes of RAM is recommended)
- idStudio may take a some time to do the following
- Boot up
- Open a map
- Load into a map
- Package a .map file (packaging decls, strings, textures, & audio will only take a few seconds) - Packaged map files are roughly 700 MB in size per unique map
